MEMPHIS, TN (abc24.com) - A campus monitor at Hamilton High School has been charged with statutory rape of a 17-year old girl.
32-year-old Jermaine Wince is charged with Statutory Rape by an Authority Figure. According to the victim's statement, Wince took her to his home for sex and gave her money. Wince admitted to the charge and was booked at the Shelby County Jail on $20,000 bond.
Memphis City Schools stated that Wince's duties at Hamilton High School as a campus monitor were to assist with day to day student entrance into the building and dismissal, as well as transition from class to class and cafeteria supervision. The school district said Wince has been suspended without pay pending the outcome of the police investigation.
