HERNANDO, MS (abc24.com) - She's 15 years old, about waist tall with white and brown hair, and she's missing. Cindy is a miniature horse who belongs to Hernando's Cedar Hill Farm.

She disappeared about two weeks ago.

What happened to her is a mystery owners are trying to solve. They say Cindy couldn't walk off on her own. The gates were all locked and the farm's surrounded by a fence.

"It's just a mystery," says Robert Foster.

Foster says no other animals are missing and there are no signs of an escape.

"It's possible someone backed in in the middle of the night and took her because we have no other clues as to what happened to her," Foster tells abc24.com.

It wouldn't have been hard to take her, he says. "She's really friendly to people because she's in a petting zoo around kids all the time. If somebody had a bucket of food I'm sure she'd have walked right up to them."

But he doesn't know why. Cindy's not worth much money. She is valuable to the farm, one of the most popular animals at the petting zoo.

"Kids love the mini horses, they think they're babies." Now there's only one miniature horse left, Cindy's main man Jacob.

"Jacob's all alone. He misses his Cindy I'm sure," Foster says. "We still have hopes she did just slip out and someone has her somewhere and they just don't know who she belongs to."

If you have any information that could help locate Cindy, call Cedar Hill Farm at (662) 429-2540.
