MEMPHIS, TN (abc24.com) - A midtown Memphis landmark music venue is shutting its doors. The Hi-Tone Cafe is closing in late February.
The bar is on poplar across from Overton Park. According to Hi-Tone's Facebook page, the owner says he plans to continue booking shows at other locations under the name "Ping-Pong Booking".
The building has a storied history. It once housed the dojo for Elvis Presley's longtime martial arts teacher.
