MEMPHIS, TN (abc24.com) - Memphis police are investigating an early Friday morning home invasion in the Oakhaven area that sent one victim to the hospital.
Officers were called to the 3100-block of Mackham Avenue just after 3 a.m. on Friday, September 21. Investigators say the victim came home and noticed the front door was open. Once inside, the victim encountered the suspect and was shot. The victim was taken to Delta Medical by private vehicle, then transported to The MED in critical condition, but has since been upgraded to stable condition.
The suspect fled before police arrived and remains at large. He's described as a black male last seen wearing a black hoodie, black shirt and gray jeans.
