And who is surprised here? crime follows the crooks and thieves that infest a once great place to live.

Totally agree with beamomof3! If none of us went to our car at the grocery store because someone was "hanging" around the store WE'D ALL STILL BE AT THE STORE! What grocery store doesn't have people around the outside of it?!? Also, we can't read our mail in our own driveways anymore?! Don't really know if it's the wording of this article, or the actual police statements, but it surely puts the blame on the victims. What we don't need is the court system putting any more blame on the victims.

Um, no the robberies were a result of criminals doing a criminal act. Yes, we should all pay attention to our surroundings, but to say the robbery was a result of her not noticing her surroundings, that is putting the blame on the victim.
