MEMPHIS, TN (abc24.com) - MATA anticipates operating regular weekday schedules, however, road conditions may cause changes in normal service and extended delays may occur on some routes.

Icy conditions may prevent trolleys from operating; trolley personnel will check overhead electrical wires to help prevent icing up. The Riverfront loop was shut down at 3:30 p.m. Tuesday day due to ice on overhead wires.

During inclement weather, MATA recommends passengers to consider leaving one hour early for important appointments, jobs, and meetings where timeliness is crucial.

If severe weather conditions persist, MATA may detour routes and delays may occur.

MATA advises riders and new riders to check www.matatransit.com for routes and more detailed information or call (901)274-6282.
