SOUTHAVEN, MS (abc24.com) – Voters in Mississippi will soon be weighing in on when “life” begins. They are set to cast their ballots on Initiative 26 which could determine if life begins at conception.

"An egg is not a person," Katelyn Williams told abc24.com.

Williams said her mind is made up regarding Initiative 26.

"I would vote no," Williams told abc24.com. "Until it's breathing, living life and it's a baby. It's not being taken care of it doesn't require someone to feed it and nurture it and love it."

Joe Baroni told abc24.com he's going to vote yes.

"I believe in life," said Baroni. "What really matters is that you don't take a life. All the other things that surround that aren't nearly important as the life of that child. That's more important than anything else."
