In reply to Golden Taint: If you were disciplined in such a way that it left belt marks, you were abused. I was swatted on the rear end by my mother a few times as a child. My mother didn't use things like switches, belts, etc. to hit me with for discipline. She chose non-physical ways. I have two children, 16 and 20, and I NEVER hit them with anything except a swat with my hand on a rare occasion. Today, they are great kids, go to church and have never had issues with drugs, unwanted pregnancy, truancy or all the other things that so many young people get themselves into. Just saying.......

I didn't examine the child. The descriptions are vague. I personally have been whooped many times as a child and had belt marks afterwards. I'm not condoning the behavior, just saying that there isn't enough information to condem it either. Marks could range from deep bruises to just slighly irritated skin, and you people have no idea what the child did either. She could have attempted to murder a nursery full of babies for all you know. Unlike you other posters, I find it hard to pass judegment on someone's actions when I have no idea what those action were.

To Golden Taint: What terrible things would a child do to justify a "beating"? You sound like a Neanderthal who was raised and disciplined by Neanderthals. By the way, Webster's defines "Neanderthal" as one who suggests a caveman in appearance, mentality, or behavior.

No excuse for this kind of beating. NONE! I don't care what the child did, she is a child. Hope this idiot gets to see the inside of a jail cell soon.

It's hard to pass judgement on this man without knowing what the girl did wrong. I doubt this is the case, but she may have done something terrible enough to justify this. . .

Didnt know they took away your permit and handgun in cases like this...but I sure am glad they do! Obviously this guy has violent tendancies so him not having a gun means everyone is safer. Lets see more of this.
