JACKSON, TN (abc24.com) - A Madison County grand jury has indicted a Jackson man accused of raping a 6-year-old child.
60-year-old Jessie James Hampton was indicted on two counts of rape of a child. Investigators with Jackson police and the Tennessee Department of Children's Services stated that Hampton raped a 6-year-old child that had been left in his care on March 11, 2011.
Hampton remains in custody at the Madison County Jail on $100,000.
