Local Car Dealerships Indicted for Laundering Drug Money

Three men and two car dealerships have been indicted for selling nearly $3 million in cars to drug dealers in order to lauder their money.

Common knowledge in Memphis Underworld that you could lbuy a vehicle from Pyramid with cash over 10000.00 and the transaction would not be reported to the IRS. They enabled the drug dealers to buy vehicles with illegal monies so they should be held accountable .

They seem to be making a big deal about having a Bentley and Mercedes... but they're dealers! They prob bought them for a fraction of what you and I would have to pay. I say if they were in the drug business, the feds would've found and seized some drugs but it appears they only got cars and money.

These folks have been on the same corner for 25 years and everybody I know that's bought a car there had to show a picture ID. It took somebody 6 years to find 4 or 5 errors. I'd say that's a compliment-very few businesses would have been able to score that good. I wish the police wouldleave good people alone and focus on getting the dangerous people off the street. Those are good people...

If this was such a evil, dangerous operation that endangered the citizens of the Memphis area - why did it take six years? Because it gave fat lazy scum easy jobs with pensions for six years. BTW - perhaps the investigation should now turn to how much income tax, property tax, and sales tax, business licensing fees, and car tag fees/wheel taxes these car dealers paid in those six years - since the governments didn't mind 'laundering' that money!
