MEMPHIS, TN (abc24.com) - You can help a local church honor Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.'s memory by donating books and school supplies. The event is called "I Have a Dream to Read."

You can drop off new or gently used books and new school supplies Saturday, January 14th from 10:00am to 1:00pm in the Pink Palace Museum's Club Room.

The books will go to Literacy Mid-South; the school supplies will go to help students in Binghampton. After you drop off your donations, you can enjoy free activities, food and games.

The drive is being organized by New Tribe Memphis.
