MEMPHIS, TN (abc24.com) - The case of a Memphis Police officer accused of having sex with his 14-year-old cousin is headed to the grand jury.
Ericck Cain waived his preliminary hearing on Friday, February 17, 2012.
Officers arrested Cain in December 2011 on aggravated statutory rape charges. Investigators stated both Cain and the teen admitted to the relationship, and Cain also confessed to sending the girl nude pictures of himself.
Cain was hired by the Memphis Police Department in 2009. He's been relieved of duty pending the outcome of the investigation.
