MEMPHIS, TN (abc24.com) - The Memphis police non-emergency phone numbers went down Tuesday afternoon, which meant anyone needing police to respond had to call 9-1-1.

The outage occurred around 3 p.m. on Tuesday, Feb. 12 and was restored several hours later.

During the outage, an MPD spokesperson urged the public to contact their nearest police station for incidents requiring offense reports.
