MEMPHIS, TN (abc24.com) - A Memphis police officer accused of having sex in his squad car and accidentally broadcasting it over his dispatch radio has resigned from the department.
Dion Anthony resigned on March 22 after he was placed on administrative leave March 13 for "inappropriate radio communication."
Anthony, who was assigned to the Mount Moriah station, reportedly had sex in the backseat of his police car while on duty. Somehow the radio began transmitting, allowing a dispatcher to hear everything.
Memphis police said it would not release a copy of the radio transmission while the investigation is active.
