MPD Officer Fired for Animal Cruelty, Rehired, Then Promoted

Weeks after Memphis Mayor A C Wharton promised he would name a committee to look into police practices, we're still waiting. In the meantime, ABC24 News has uncovered a classic example of how police can get fired, get their job back and end up climbing the ranks of the MPD.

That's Memphis for you. You do wrong and get rewarded for it, I swear all the people at the Memphis Animal Shelter are all incompetent and so are all the so-called police we call for protection. It's disgusting, they don't serve and protect. Memphis will never amount to anything, they need to get rid of all the Memphis Animal Shelter employees that have been involved in animal cruelty and all the Memphis Police that have done wrong. It's ashame, because they are supposed to help these animals, but all they do is endure more suffering to them. Those low-lifes need to be put down! Wouldn't miss them for the world! Useless pieces of life!

If she could not afford to feed them why didn't she take them to a shelter instead of letting them starve? Since she is so stupid not to know what she HAD to do, how could she possibly be qualified to be a law enforcement officer? I hope people who need the departments help are able to refuse her and request another officer. I know I would not want an idiot working a case for me. Or is she the gold standard for MPD??

A "big promotion?" HA that's a joke. The difference in Sgt and LT. pay is only about $4000 a year!

Is she related to the mayor and does she have any animals at home? Unbelievable! If I had treated my children or senior member of the family like she did to her pets and they died due to malnutrition, I would be in jail. Typical crap--shame on Memphis citizens to allow this.
