MEMPHIS, TN (abc24.com) - A man is behind bars, accused of beating a woman in the head with a hammer, raping her, then robbing her home on November 11, 2011.
The victim was attacked when the suspect entered her Raleigh home and struck her in the head with a hammer while was she was in her bed. The suspect then raped the victim, and held a knife to her throat. Before leaving, he stole contents from her purse and cash from her room.
18-year-old Alex Johnson was identified from fingerprints left at the scene and a photo line-up, and arrested on November 30th. He is charged with Aggravated Rape, Aggravated Assault and Aggravated Burglary.
