MEMPHIS, TN (abc24.com) - A man has been charged with murder after a stabbing that happened on Sunday, October 30, 2011, around 2:45 a.m. in the 3000 block of Faxon Avenue.

An affidavit says 29-year-old Daniel Spurr has been charged with the crime that left Frank Green-Scott, 29, dead.

Memphis police say they found Green-Scott lying on the front porch of a home on Faxon and bleeding from his side when they arrived on the scene. Green-Scott was suffering from a stab wound and taken to The MED in critical condition, where he was later pronounced dead.

Police say Green-Scott was in an argument with Spurr, when Spurr pulled out a large, folding-blade knife and stabbed him several times.

On Tuesday, November 1, Spurr gave a statement to police admitting to stabbing Green-Scott during a fight.

I feel terrible for all of the families involved. I have known this man since he was born; I'm his brother. I am posting here so everyone knows this photo is from an earlier and much less severe crime (I think it was panhandling.) My family is in shock and none of us know the details. My heart goes out to the Green family as well as my brother. No one here could possibly understand the repercussions of what has happened unless your one and only sibling (he's 5 years younger)or maybe some other family member has committed a similar crime. To protect her young delicate mind i don't know if I'll ever be able to tell his 11 year old niece (my stepdaughter.) There are two things I came here to say and emphasize: I doubt he was smiling at his arrest/mugshot since I've known Daniel his entire life, and unless you were there when the crime was committed you do not know all of the details. This is a devastating blow to a lot of people, please be mindful of your comments.

Put him in jail for twenty years and we can all smile.

He certainly doesn't look very remorseful.
