Man Charged With Exposing Minor To HIV

MEMPHIS, TN (abc24.com) - A man was arrested on Friday, October 28, 2011, for statutory rape and criminal exposure to HIV for things he did with a 17-year-old girl.

An affidavit says 54-year-old Larry Colbert admitted to the crimes after police came to his home and found the girl in his apartment.

When police arrived, Colbert said he didn't know anything about the girl being inside his apartment, but authorities saw her inside putting on a coat and cap.

The victim told police Colbert kissed her on the neck, fondled her and wanted to have sex with her.

The document says Colbert admitted to touching the girl, that he was HIV positive and he did not intend to tell the victim about the disease.

Victim? Really a 17 year old willingly there? How the heck is she a victim? Only in the HIV part - statutory rape - ummm doesn't there have to be sex to be even statutory? I get the criminal exposure - that is easy enoguh to understand but seems to me the rest is bull.

Hopefully, stories like this will get enough attention that people will begin to learn the importance of safe sex. Better yet, maybe women can actually learn to not have sex with men who would gladly see them die in exchange for an orgasim.

WTF. . . So is he being charged for things he intended to do? This sort of thing didn't used to be a problem back when girls had enough self respect to not want to have sex with disgusting old men. I think a castration is in order here.
