MEMPHIS, Tenn. (AP, abc24.com) - Hospital officials say a man who was rescued from a burning house earlier this month in east Memphis has died.

The Commercial Appeal reports that 36-year-old Frank D. Duncan died Friday at the Regional Medical Center in Memphis.

Duncan was resuscitated after firefighters rescued him during the fire in the early morning hours March 8.

His 4-year-old son, who also was rescued, was released Friday from Le Bonheur Children's Hospital after being treated for smoke inhalation.

Duncan's wife and 2-year-old son escaped the fire before firefighters arrived.
