MEMPHIS, Tenn. (AP) - The Shelby County Health Department reports a heat-related death from last month.
Officials said Monday the body of a 64-year-old male was discovered July 13 in his home where the air conditioning was not turned on.
Heat was not the sole source of death but was a contributing factor, investigators said. His name was not released.
It was the fifth heat-related death this year in Shelby County, including a Tipton County man that was transported to Shelby County where he passed.
