MEMPHIS, TN (abc24.com) - Memphis police are investigating an accident at a FedEx facility that left one person dead Friday morning.
Police were called to FedEx Ground off Mallory and 3rd Street around 9:15 a.m. on Friday, January 25. When they arrived, they found a man suffering from severe injuries. An ambulance transported the man to The MED where he was pronounced dead.
Investigators say the victim was hit by a FedEx truck, but did not provide any further details.
A FedEx spokesperson issued the following statement regarding the incident:
“We are aware of the incident that occurred in Memphis this morning. Our thoughts and prayers go out to those involved. We are cooperating fully with the authorities but have no further details at this time.”
Police say the investigation is ongoing.
