MEMPHIS, TN (abc24.com) - A man was recovering at The MED after several suspects attempted to rob him in the parking lot of a Cooper Young area business.
The incident occurred on January 3, 2012 around 3:15am in the Young Avenue Deli parking lot. The victim, Dustin Schild, told police he had walked from Celtic Crossing back to his car in the Deli's lot when he was approached by 3 to 4 male suspects. One suspect demanded money; when the victim refused, the suspect shot him.
A 1990's or late 2000 model black Chevy Suburban pulled up and all of the suspects got in and fled the scene. Schild was transported to The MED in non-critical condition.
The gunman is described as a black male, 5'6", 150 lbs, bald, and last seen wearing a dark shirt and blue jeans. He was with at least two other black male suspects.
