BARTLETT, TN (abc24.com) - A Memphis man has turned himself in to police and faces a variety of charges related to a false rape accusation made against a Bartlett business owner the week of October 2, 2011.

Bartlett police say Khaled Eleiwa turned himself in the morning of Monday, October 10, 2011, in a companion case that left 22-year-old Angela Poindexter in jail after admitting to authorities she falsely accused Victor Garada of trying to rape her.

Poindexter told police she made the story up because of a dispute over money with someone in Garada's family.

Eleiwa is now facing charges on extortion, felony harassment, aggravated stalking and attempting to file a false police report connected to the case.

Eleiwa was released from jail on a $35,000 bond late Monday afternoon.

Mrhmeisme, you are typical Southern-Baptist xenophobe – every foreign name throws you into a national Security panic mode. Someone from a local psychiatric institution needs to keep a close eye on you instead.

Let's hope Bartlett PD involves Homeland Security in performing a thorough background check on Khaled and his ilk. The last thing the Mid South needs is a local Al-qaeda cell to spring up and start terrorizing the populace. This guy obviously is no law abiding citizen. They need to keep a close eye on him even after this case has been resolved.
