Mayor Wharton Displeased with MPD's Property Room Audit

The Memphis mayor's office finds the MPD property room audit unacceptable. The report found guns, drugs, money and who knows what else missing from the evidence room.

He has already shown what he stands for, nothing. As shelby mayor he was known as 'do nothing wharton'. He holds meetings and hires consulting groups, steps in front of the media and blasts the wrongdoers, then slowly, silently, fades into the background again. Get used to it. Race selects the leader of Memphis, not the qualifications of the candidate. Memphis is doomed to poor or non-existent leadership. Your choices are clear, accept it or move.

Mr. Mayor, If you are DISPLEASED step up, take responsibility and take swift positive action. Or are you and your administration content with the old "oh well boys will be boys" attitude toward Memphis? Now is the time to show this community what you really stand for, decisive action or status quo. It is in your hands, a touchdown or fumble.
