Wharton should be impeached. I have lost all respect for him. I damn sure won't vote for him again. Once again the city government wants to rob the tax base to pay for a failed school system and for services for people who contribute nothing - all overseen by incompetent city leaders who have no solutions other than to keep robbing the tax payers. I'm about ready to stick the FOR SALE sign in my yard.

To hell with a tax increase! What are our brillant, fearless leaders doing wrong that our property taxes are so much higher than all the other cities in the state? I'm leaving this mismanaged ripoff dump ASAP.

This City needs to hire the older retired people - I guarantee they will clean up this City of waste, overpaid employees, and all other white crime thefts. You would not get a pencil unles you signed out for it. There is no way this City will survive at the rate it is going. Keep raising taxes, Wharton, keep tacking on fees, MLGW- keep raising car license fees and keep tellling the citizens it will be only temporary..Another slum city in the making - Just get in your car (with plenty protection) and tour it. Need I say more - Look at the abuse of all the entitlements (I believe it is called) Research it - things added that will startle you. There should be no one going to bed hungry if the food cards were handled properly-already 3 squares included in the schools.
