The Memphis International Airport is the largest contributor to smog in the city. All one has to do is drive around I-240 from Malfunction Junction east when the planes are taking off north to south. Roll your windows down or open your vents. The exhaust fumes will gag you. Maybe they should force airplane inspections? AC, all you are going to do with this insane idea is run people further and further away from Memphis.

These people have lost their minds. If they stop spending money on stupid stuff the city would have some. We pay enough to Memphis Light Gas and Robbers. This city could be a lot better if they stop with the race card and start banning to together to change things and use what we already have to make money.

Has Mr. Wharton considered that people who work within the city 5 days a week also eat within the city 5 days a week. Their employer pays rent on building space, and some have to pay to park everyday. Hmm. There is cause to consider whether the Mayor is asking companies to move out of the city. "Mayor A C Wharton...says the city loses close to $3 million a year on inspections. County residents' cars contribute to smog as well, so cough up the dough." Why not make all roads in and out of the distribution capital into toll roads? Those big ol' transport trucks contribute to smog, as do visitors to Graceland. Can't Mr. Wharton make them cough up some dough too? (PLEASE read this last paragraph as a joke - NOT a serious suggestion!)
