Memphis 13 Honored

Thirteen African-American kids that integrated Memphis City Schools are being honored in film.

I don't know many white people that are really concerned about color, but they are fed up with all the discrimination and racial slurs from a growing sector of the black people. I am one of them. Sooner or later people must realize that you cannot live in the past, but you have to work towards a better future. Blackmailing people with the color of your skin isn't better, its pathetic. PROPERWAY1967, I don't see the south as "disgusting". But it does have a good number of stupid people with no desire to learn or think for themselves, so they allow themselves to be 'brainwashed' by certain so-called leaders, religious and/or political, who themselves make lots of money stirring up dissent. As long as those leaders can attract a crowd with their hate speaches and make money they'll keep doing it. Not unlike Jerry Springer. A number of people and organizations have turned racism into a business and have no desire to see it end. I.E., NAACP, ACLU, Rev. Wright, COGIC, ACORN, and many others.

Unfortunately, it's no better today. 50 years later and we're still dealing with and raising bigots. The South will always be a disgusting place to live.
