@jcs, every good news story needs to have the word deadly or murder in it somewhere so that it qualifies as Memphis news.

Why do you say that it is a 'deadly' virus in your first sentence?? It is NOT 'deadly'. Even Dr. Coleman said so in your story! It IS treatable - the employees absolutely DID have a 'choice'. But treating the animals takes work and effort - it is easier to kill them than to take care of them. Having a 'virus' going around is just a convenient excuse to justify their continuous killing of adoptable dogs.
