MEMPHIS, TN (abc24.com) - An attorney with the Gatti, Keltner, Bienvenu & Montesi law firm was arrested on December 9, 2011 for driving drunk.

59-year old Michael Montesi was involved in an accident just before 9:30pm at Jackson Avenue and McConnell St. According to Memphis Police, Montesi was driving a BMW 550i west on Jackson and made a left turn onto McConnell, hitting a Saturn Vue that was headed east on Jackson. The driver of the Saturn complained of head, neck and back pain, and was transported to Methodist North Hospital in non-critical condition.

Responding officers noticed Montesi was unsteady on his feet and had a stong smell of alcohol on his breath. He was given a sobriety test, but refused a breathalyzer. He was arrested and charged with DUI, Public Intoxication, Reckless Driving, and Refusal to Submit to a BAC Test. He was also cited for not having valid proof of insurance.

Montesi has since been released on bond.

Now if a kid was killed while he was just stress out would everyone be ok with this? If it was a COP or City worker or School Board employee you would be screaming for them to be fired. So why not him? Why not scream for him to loose his license?? The answer is simple.. so people are above your petty cries and can't be touch.. and he is one of them. Plus working for yourself helps also.

Montesi is a good person. Sometimes things happen to good people. I think that he should pay restitution to any parties that got hurt. I thank God for his sake that no one was critically injured. On the streets everyday people drink and drive even if it is only one drink. The police dept. allows employees to have no more that two DUI's, but is it really because of the stressfulness of their jobs? I think the answer is No because we all have stressful jobs or even no job at all and that is depressing, (Enough to Drink). Montesi be strong cause u will rise above this mishap.
