MEMPHIS, TN (abc24.com) - He's known as the 'facemaker.' Matt Singer has masterminded prosthetic eyes, noses and ears, and from his Memphis downtown business, Silicon Arts Labs, he's also helping to disguise what many of us suffer from: scars.

Samantha Fitzgerald is a model who has a chicken pox scar on her forehead. "To me, when I look at myself on camera, that's the first thing I see," she said.

That's not good for a model who works the crowds at Memphis Grizzlies games.

Singer, creator of scar concealer 'Dermaflage,' noticed Sam, mentioned his product, and now she uses it.

It takes her 5 minutes. She first puts on the scar primer and lets it dry. Then she squeezes on a little Dermflage and holds a texture pad to settle it. When she removes the pad, the scar is gone until she removes the product.

According to Singer, "You could theoretically wear it for over a day and wear it going swimming or working out without fear of it coming off."

Singer, who owns Silicone Arts Labs, is the maker of Dermaflage. His first version of the product came out four years ago. He improved the formula and recently released Dermaflage for recessed scars. They make a variety of skin tones for each ethnicity.

Jennifer Lenahan, who has milk white skin, uses Dermaflage as well. She was accidentally shot in the face while out with friends 5 months ago. The bullet went through the side of her nose and grazed her cheek, causing criss-crossed scars across her face.

Since her scars are more difficult it takes her longer to apply the product, but the results are the same. Her scars disappear with the Dermaflage applied, even before she puts on her makeup,

"It looks like me before," Jennifer said, "I look like myself again."

It isn't only for scars. Dermaflage customer Mary Anne Chyala-Guglielmetti says forget about the Botox, she uses it to fill the wrinkles between her eyes.

"When you use it and it goes away, you're like, wow."

The scars or wrinkles are gone for good, or at least, until you take your Dermaflage off.
