MEMPHIS, Tenn. (AP, abc24.com) — Police in Memphis have charged a 22-year-old man with killing his mother.
Police say they were called Saturday morning to a home where they found the body of 55-year-old Elaine Walsh. A statement says she had multiple head injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene.
Police say investigators have charged her son, William Patrick Walsh, with first-degree murder in her slaying.
At an April 23 court appearance, Judge Chris Turner ordered a mental evaluation of Walsh. He remains in custody without bond and is scheduled to come back to court on May 14.
