MARSTON, Mo. (AP) - A Tennessee man had a winning $4.2 million Missouri Lotto ticket for more than a week without knowing he hit the jackpot, then waited nearly two more weeks before telling anyone about it.

Missouri Lottery officials on Wednesday announced 51-year-old Bill Gano of Memphis, Tenn., is the 351st person to become a millionaire through the state's lottery. He matched all numbers in the Nov. 14 Lotto drawing.

Gano showed up at the Pilot Travel Centers truck stop in Marston, a town of about 500 residents in the Missouri Bootheel, to claim his prize.

He says he didn't tell anyone about his winnings and brought his oldest daughter along under the guise of attending a work event.

He is taking his winnings in a lump sum of $2.1 million before taxes.
