MEMPHIS, TN (abc24.com) - The man accused of fatally shooting a man during a Memphis carjacking then robbing a convenience store in Tunica was apprehended in New Albany, Mississippi.

27-year-old Michael Bonsky was arrested March 27 on charged of First Degree Murder, Attempted First Degree Murder and Carjacking. Investigators say Bonsky shot 29-year-old Roy Townsel and a 21-year-old female victim during a carjacking in the Orange Mound area just after 10:30 p.m. on March 25. Townsel was pronounced dead on the scene; the female victim was taken to The MED in critical condition.

The next day, the Tunica County Sheriff's Department says Bonsky robbed a convenience store at Highway 61 and Casino Center around 3:30 a.m.

I knew Roy since I was 5...this loser smiled in his face..pretended to be his friend then killed him, robbed him and tried to kill his girlfriend. Sucks to be him she not only lived but pointed him out so the police knew who to look for. He will never know our pain and what he did to us by taking Roy away from us....death is too good for him. He should be made to suffer and spend every day of his life in jail until he takes his last breath.
