MEMPHIS, TN (abc24.com) - Two Memphis police officers were taken to the hospital after an car accident while responding to a call on New Year's Eve.
The officers were en route to assist another officer at the scene of a fight when a wrecker disregarded a red light and hit the officers' cruiser at University and Frayser Blvd around 6:30 p.m. One officer was trapped in the vehicle and the other officer was knocked unconscious. Both officers were transported in non-critical condition to The MED.
The accident remains under investigation.
