Memphis Police Department Weathers Multiple Blows

Headlines were dominated all week by problems at the Memphis Police Department.

DIRECTOR ARMSTRONG, YOU ARE REALLY EARNING YOUR MONEY. YOU HAVE TO CLEAN UP BEHIND PREVIOUS ADMINSTRATIONS AND WEED OUT BAD COPS. DON'T LET THAT MESS PUT YOU INTO AN EARLY GRAVE....GET'EM OUT FIND PEOPLE THAT WANNA WORK. YOU WANT PEOPLE WITH COLLEGE, BUT YOU SEE WHAT YOU'RE GETTING. i just appreciate him trying to get this straightened out and cleaned up. He was handed a mess just like our President was handed a mess when he went into office. Keep going and it will get better.

tony, you know u can only do so much, it has to be embarrassing for the department but as i know and u also, everyone is not a thief, drug dealer, etc... hang in there, it will get better. i appreciate the mpd for what they do each day for the city, they earn their money
