The number of Memphis Police officers arrested this year now stands at 21. This, after a 12-year veteran of the force was arrested Monday and charged with prescription fraud related to a popular weight-loss drug.

Rather, he would not ADMIT to it. If they WERE truly interesed in stopping this RAMPANT behavior, they WOULD put rules, & PUNISHMENTS in place harsh enough to STOP it. But.... they HAVE not, & WILL not.

I call BS. If that’s true, and you want to hold bad cops responsible, how about you push ahead charges against Alex Beard, or at least fire him so our tax dollars aren’t going to his salary? He is not a “dirty” cop, but definitely doesn’t deserve to hold a badge. You have already admitted he didn’t have his lights and sirens on, wasn’t going to an emergency, and was driving at a high rate of speed. He MURDERED two people, wrecked another’s physical well-being, and devastated an entire family, all because of his own negligence. And what, 3 months later, he’s still got his badge, still got a paycheck? You’re a disgrace, Armstrong. I will celebrate the day you’re fired. We want justice for the victims of the MPD.
