That is my point, pkt2313. What would he have used as an excuse had he killed a family, with children in the car? Would he still have been 'suspended with pay', then?! Aren't LEO's supposed to be RESPONSIBLE?! Why are we hearing more & more about them in the news these days for 'misconduct'?!?

This whole "with pay" thing is crap, especially when they are obviously guilty. They get a paid vacation for their mistakes, and on the taxpayer dime. The rule needs to be changed so that should they be found guilty of their infraction, they should have to repay every red cent.
