MEMPHIS, TN (abc24.com) - The owner of a downtown Memphis steakhouse was arrested for domestic assault by Germantown police early Friday morning.
Scott Day, owner of The Butcher Shop, was taken into custody at his parents' home around 5:30 a.m. on May 4.
According to investigators, officers responded to a report of a domestic incident between Day and his girlfriend late Thursday evening after she fled to a neighbor's home. Police went to Day's home on the 2500-block of Meadow Run where they were told firearms were present.
After several hours of trying to contact Day, officers went inside and found that he wasn't there. He was located a short time later and arrested without incident.
