When are 'whites' going to stop being afraid to speak out against the just as prevalent, if not more so, racism against THEMSELVES from the 'African-American' population?

Racisim = ignorance- period!!!! Any judgement of a person because of their race, sexual orientation, economic stat, religion, etc. is racisim. People don't have to like everybody else, people argue, people have enemies....that's fine, that's life on this earth..but by all means judge people for who they are as a person; ie. their character!! Memphis is WAAYY behindwhen it comes to equality of races..it's 2012 people, wake up!!!! Martin Luther King died for equality of ALL races('to be judged by the content of character not by the color of their skin')...Why is that such a hard concept to grasp. All races are guilty, I see it from all sides....dispecitable, in my opinion!

But Jenifer109420; they can not UNDERSTAND 'double standards', & would not care even if they could. Look at WHAT you are expecting to be able to understand logic, & have ethics & values. This is WHY they are still no more evolved than they are, even in this day & time, with the advatages that are available to EVERYONE.

Penny I don't know where you live in Memphis but in my neighborhood, as one of the few white people in that neighborhood, I am subjected to being called a white b****, white man this, and white folks that. My son is called "white boy" by all the other kids like he doesn't have a name or something. As a matter of fact on my way home yesterday, a black boy around 10 years old was waving down the traffic like he needed help. I slowed down thinking something was wrong, and he went back to playing so I kept going. As soon as I passed him, he flipped me the middle finger and yelled "F you white lady". Now I deal with this crap EVERYDAY. Yet if I call the police and say I'm being racially harassed, they're gonna laugh and tell me to get over it. BECAUSE I'M WHITE! I am not condoning how far this man went but I applaud him for standing up for us. It's not right. Race goes all ways. Ever noticed black on white crime is never reported as a hate crime yet if a white man does anything to a black person, regardless of circumstances, it's always a hate crime. I say screw that! But something will never change here in Memphis.

I must say I agree with Jennifer to an extent. When it comes to race relations there is a terrible double standard in this country. It's ok for a black person to be racist, but it is apparently a federal civil rights violation if a white person says the N word. If this had been a black person attacking white people and shouting racial slurs, the black attacker would not have been charged with "civil rights" violations. There will unfortunately be no "healing" in race relations in this country until that double standard is eliminated. Furthermore, I want to know if there is more to this story that the media are not telling us. Was this man being intimidated by the neighbors? Had they burglarized him? I'd like to know some more facts about the case.

Hmmm, let's see: $75,000 for this guy, and only $10,000 for the black female who succeeded in beating the crap out of a black male.

Nobody: And I guess the black panthers, gangs don't hate white people? DNA? really?? but then again the mainstream media will not publicize this if this was a black man doing this to a white man.

I'm curious, what are white people fed up about lol, when they are more privileged than any other race am I missing something

I think in all fairness the next article should examine the statements made recently by the New Black Panthers.
