MILLINGTON, TN (abc24.com) - It takes lots of practice to be good enough to play at Carnegie Hall, and one of ABC 24's "Cool Schools" is well on its way. The Millington Central High School choir has been invited to perform at the world famous music hall in New York City.

The choir has spent months raising money for the trip. So far, they've raised $60,000 to pay for flights and hotel rooms.

The choir has a real love for performing and could not be more thrilled for their trip to the Big Apple.

"You know Carnegie Hall is the world's stage and so not many people have that stage to showcase their talents," said the choir's director, Jeffrey Murdock.

The choir is hoping to raise $10,000 more with a concert on March 24, when they'll have a sneak peek of the songs they'll be performing in New York.
