Millington, TN (abc24.com) - The Mayor of Millington says he hasn't done anything wrong, as a business with past ties to the mayor is one of five raided in a city-wide drug bust.

"I was shocked, I was totally shocked. Really was." Mayor Richard Hodges said.

Transmission Doctors, along with SuperNavy Market, Millington Liquor, JetWay Market, and Regency Inn, were raided Thursday, December 8, 2011.

It was all part of a 5-month investigation into illicit drug sales in the Millington area.

"This investigation resulted in 65 criminal indictments of 14 individuals who are charged with sales of cocaine, marijuana, and illegally diverted prescription narcotics such as Morphine tabs." Millington Police Chief Ray Douglas said in a statement.

Mayor Richard Hodges was arrested in mid-October and charged with two counts of bribery. He said he never saw any drugs at Transmission Doctors.

"Not a bit. Not a bit. Not a bit." said Hodges. "If I would have seen something like that It would have scared me away and I wouldn't be in this mess now."

"I'm just, it is sad, it is such a good little community, now we are big like getting up there like the big people." said Cletonia McCraney, a local 3rd grade teacher.

Investigators said late Thursday that most of the 14 suspects indicted as part of the investigation were under arrest.
