MILLINGTON, TN (abc24.com) - Millington Elementary School went on voluntary lockdown Friday morning after an armed robbery on a nearby residential street.

Investigators say a man was robbed at gunpoint while walking out of his home on the 7700-block of Armour Road, and the suspect may have fled to a nearby field between the victim's home and the elementary school. Millington Police placed the school on lockdown as a precaution.

The lockdown remained in place all day, and dismissal at Millington Elementary was delayed until nearly 5 p.m. Parents were notified and kept abreast of the situation through the school's automatic calling system.

The suspect, 24-year-old Daniel Johnson, was apprehended around 7:30 p.m. that night. Johnson and a second suspect have also been connected to another robbery the day before at the Castle Creek Recreation Center where two weapons were stolen. The second suspect remains at large.
