BARTLETT, TN – Bartlett police are searching for a woman who disappeared after going for a run.

According to investigators, Micah Denise Pate’s husband reported her missing around 10:30 p.m., Thursday, April 30, 2009. The 26 year-old woman’s husband told officers that Pate left their house in the 3500 block of Foxfield Trail to go for a run. He says his wife is usually home and in bed by 10:00 p.m. and it is very unusual for Pate to not be home by that time.

Police say all of Micah Pate’s personal items were left at the house.

Pate is described as a White woman with short blonde hair. She is five feet, five inches tall and weighs 115 pounds. Police say she was last seen wearing a long sleeve blue shirt and brown pants.

Bartlett police do not suspect foul play is involved in her disappearance, but say they are continuing their investigation.

If anyone knows the whereabouts of Micah Denise Pate, call the Bartlett Police Department Investigative Services at (901) 385-5565 or Bartlett Police Crime Stoppers at (901) 385-5500.

Jefferson Tao... For a "rationalist" you dont understand the basic christian philosophy: God did not cause this, God does not cause evil - God allows every human free will to choose too follow him or not. Evil comes from our human desire to stray from Gods will. If God stopped evil from happening then there would be no joy in making a decision to follow him. Gods plan is for all of us (humans) to live in peace with him and other humans, but our free will often times does not line up with this - that is the reason God made a sacrifice for us in Jesus Christ, it is by his death that we are cleansed and able to be in the presence of a completely just and pure God. I dont say these things trying to convince you of anything or beat you on the head with the bible, i simply say them because they are the Truth and most non-christians have a skewed view of biblical principles because so many christians dont understand them and have "preached" wrong information to others. I went to college with Micah and my prayers are for her family - i have gone through tragedy in my life and i know that only God can give comfort to our broken souls.

ok Alllina, apparently you didnt know them very well, look what happened, and tammy, you are right, why would someone be running at 10pm? that just didnt make sense, the husband is nothing but a coward to take is wife's life. if they were having problems, he should have man enough to walk away, there was no need to shoot this woman!

TARHEELJOSH, I GUESS MY PREDICTION WAS CORRECT. THE HUSBAND WAS A COWARD THAT WASTED THE POLICE TIME ON A CRIME THAT HE COMMITTED! I HAD A GUT FEELING THAT HE DID IT BECAUSE WHO WOULD GO OUT RUNNING AT 10:00 AT NIGHT BY HERSELF KNOWING THAT OUR CITY IS #2 ON FORBES LIST OF HIGHEST CRIME RATE! AND I BET MICAH KNEW THIS! I AM TRULY SORRY THAT SHE HAD TO DIE AT THE HANDS OF SOMEONE THAT SHE THOUGHT WAS TO PROTECT HER! MY WORLD IS NOT IMAGINARY ITS THE TRUTH.

After reading update of the husband admitting he shot her accidently and led police to the body, I guess I have to admit I was wrong in this particular case. However, I still stand by the fact that many times a spouse is wrongly suspected just because they are the spouse. My heart goes out to this family. How tragic!

I think it's horrible that the spouse is always the first suspect. I'm sure that might be the case here and there, but I think many times the police can't find the killer and they simply come up with circumstantial evidence that means squat just so they can pin it on someone so they can say they closed the case. There is no telling how many innocent people are in jail because of this. While the real killer is running loose to kill again. Our judicial system is so screwed up. Innocent people go to jail and guilty people run free. What's wrong with this pic? It's bad enough that a spouse has to deal with the sudden traumatic death of their loved one and then they have to deal with being the first one the police always suspect. It's crazy how innocent people these days get convicted on theories the police dream up because they couldn't find their butts if they weren't attached. All the while the guilty party runs free and never caught. It's actually scary as it could happen to anyone of us, if something terrible happened to our spouse. I can't even imagine having to deal with both the death of a loved one AND have the police automatically be investigating you just because you are a spouse.....that's crazy!
