Mississippi Considers Ignition Interlock Devices for DUI Offenders

House members just passed an amendment that would require everyone convicted of a DUI, even first time offenders, to install an ignition interlock device on their car. The machine acts like a breathalyzer.

If we are looking at statstics this is a great idea. Cut down on careless people making stupid decisions without a care for the safety of others(or themselves). I think it's a great idea!! But where is the $$ comming from to pay for these things?! They aren't cheap and taxes don't need to skyrocket for this either....
