MEMPHIS, TN (abc24.com) - The Mo' Money mess continues. The Memphis-based company is on the verge of reaching a deal with the Missouri Attorney General.
According to a spokeswoman with Missouri Attorney General Chris Koster, details of the deal could be filed as early as Tuesday.
In early March, Koster sued MoneyCo USA, also known as Mo' Money Tax Service. A week later, the Attorney General of Illinois sued as well.
Both lawsuits came after a massive tax mess filled of customers complaints about delayed tax returns, and at times, incorrect tax filings.
Lawyers for Attorney General Koster were set to ask a judge in St. Louis to issue a temporary restraining order against the company. That hearing was set for Tuesday. That is now on hold as this deal is negotiated.
Mo' Money Co-Founder Markey Granberry didn't return calls and texts from abc24.com for comment.
