MEMPHIS, TN (abc24.com) - The State of Missouri just put the smack down on Memphis-Based Mo' Money. The Missouri Attorney General laid out new rules for Mo' Money to follow when it does business in the "Show Me State."

"The injunction will be in place for the remainder of the case," Nanci Gonder, spokesperson for Attorney General Chris Koster, said in an email. "We are continuing the discovery phase of the case; we are requesting and receiving information from MoneyCo USA."

The preliminary injunction and order was filed on Wednesday in St. Louis County Circuit Court. Koster sued Mo' Money back in March.

The order lists eight restrictions the company must follow, including a ban on "destroying, altering, or disposing" of any documents or records.

"Most of them they should have been followed to begin with, and that's why they are in trouble," said Chris Thomas, a Cordova accountant.

Mo' Money's legal troubles may not be over. The company faces a similar court hearing in Chicago next week.

The company's problems started in January when customers in several states complained their tax returns were late, and had been filed with wrong information.

The Internal Revenue Service raided Mo' Money's headquarters in Whitehaven in late April.

Mo' Money Co-Founder Markey Granberry has insisted his company has done nothing wrong.

abc24.com tried to reach Granberry by e-mail, text, and phone, but he did not return our request for comment on these new developments.

First of all, anyone who would trust a company with a title of "Mo-Money" to accurately file their taxes has got to be completely ignorant! Unreal how some cultures don't even try to think. Just keep on putting your trust and money in the hands of con men & crimminals. See where it's gotten you so far?
