I hear ya Cleeroy. I have seen this in other cities & it's raelly a joke. The people who have cars taht fail can't afford a fix & in most cases get waivers. The people who can afford a fix usually don't need it becuase tehir car is in good repair. Ironic isn't it. I think the county should take over teh inspections, privatize the process so reapir shops can do them. Set a nominal fee for getting tested. Takes away the long waiting lines & Eliminates a whole bunch of govt employees & costs.

Ok this is absolute bs. What about the people who were victims of this ludacris law and already spent thousands to get through the test what do we get ? Is there a lawyer who can respond to this just because my car came up for tags before these idiots finally rescinded this law does that mean i should have to suffer. I HAD TO GO BUY A NEW DAMN CAR. I hate this city and the people running it dont care at all about the working people living it. I have beed discriminated against because my car tag expired before july 16. Again thanks memphis i cant wait to close onmy house in mississippi and will never come and spend one dime in this disgrace of political corruption and ignorance.
