HOLLY SPRINGS, MS (abc24.com) - Deputies investigating a brutal attack on a Marshall County teen have named two more suspects in the case, after just arresting the victim's own sister.
18-year-old Charles Hardeman was almost killed on April 11, 2012 after he was tied to a concrete block and thrown in a lake to drown. His home was then set on fire and destroyed. Somehow he freed himself and drove for help, only to have a stroke and crash into a tree. Hardeman was placed on life support, but has since recovered and been released from the hospital.
Kevin Schrock and Gregory Jenkins were both arrested and charged with armed robbery, arson, aggravated assault and kidnapping. On May 18, Charles' sister, 19-year-old Ashley Hardeman, was also arrested and charged with aggravated assault and kidnapping.
Arrest warrants were issued for two more suspects: 31-year-old Xavier Parks and 24-year-old Alexander Carter. Both face charges of aggravated assault and kidnapping.
Carter was taken into custody May 21. Officers in Hardeman County tried to arrest Parks on Sunday, May 20, but he fled into the woods and remains at large.
