I don't blame vilence on rap. It's just a coincidence that the only people who like gangsta rap are violent morons with no social skills. Any and all conflict ends in physical violence when dealing with exceptionally stupid people.

Gangsta rap has EVERYTHING to do with glorifying street violence and murder. Practically every single gangsta rap lyric has violence in it. Violent video games are the training tool, and gangsta rap is the soundtrack. Welcome to American materialism.

Gangsta rap has ABSOLUTELY nothing to do with this club violence. There was violence long before there was gangsta rap. Poor choices, alcohol and testosterone are to blame here. They need to close the club, fine the owners for every incident or take their liquor license. To blame music for the rise of violence is not only asinine, but shortsighted and a little racist.

Close this club and they'll find another.

Being "Black" I truly understand the comments posted here about how this club is obviously getting a pass, and the question is why? So who is the owner of this club, and why is it not closed down? This club continues to give Beale Street and other businesses in the area a bad name. Is it because it's a predominantly "Black" club, and the acts are generally Black on Black; if not, then what is it? You refused the guy a license to open his business in "Cordova" with no other excuse other than it was located in Cordova, yet you allow this business to continue business as usual. What's wrong with this picture? Who ever this club owner has in his pocket, it's time for them to say enough is enough, sooner or later they are going to bring them down with the club. Get the picture!

Strip clubs and any business of a "sexual" nature are harrassed and/or forced to close. Yet this club is allowed to remain open even though people are getting stabbed and shot there. What's wrong with this picture? Is the club getting a free pass because it's a black business? Ya think? No wonder Beale Street is suffering. I sure as hell wouldn't take any of my out of town visitors there.

More crime and violence from the culture of gang glorification. Gangster rap encourages such behavior. We live in a time when violence, cruelty, greed and selfishness are considered virtues.

"So why is there so much violence at the club?" Because it's a black club.
