MILLINGTON, TN (abc24.com) - A mother confessed to murder after she was found with her daughter's beaten body in a Millington trailer park Wednesday morning.

Shelby County Sheriff's deputies responded to a 911 call from the 6300-block of Sea Weed Drive around 5:45 a.m. on Wednesday, September 5 from a man who said he found his stepdaughter's body in a trailer. Investigators found 30-year-old Shaneca Webber, who appeared to have died from blunt force trauma to the head.

Also in the trailer was Shaneca's mother, 48-year-old Kathy Webber. According to the affidavit, the man told deputies he found his stepdaughter on her bedroom floor covered with blood and his wife sitting in the master bedroom. He also stated Shaneca was handicapped.

Upon questioning, Kathy Webber told deputies she hit her daughter in the head with a fire extinguisher six or seven times. She then tried to hide the clothes she had been wearing, leaving her daughter on the floor.

Kathy Webber was arrested and charged with First Degree Murder. She is being held without bond at the Shelby County Jail.
